She took a minute to warm up to the idea of getting cake all over, but once she did she had a blast! She loved licking the frosting off her little fingers! Her parents were cracking up watching her go at it, and I think the consensus was the cake is delicious!
Oh boy! I have a boy in the studio! I definitely don't get as many little boys to photograph as I do girls. Boys need photos and memories just as much as girls do! I love getting newborn boys in, I have so many boy things I haven't even gotten to try yet! This little guy was so sweet and he loved being all wrapped up and cozy. The little aviator hat was made by the moms dear friend and at her request we were able to capture a great memory, and a great smile in it!. I think many new moms don't want there photos taken when they come in with their newborn, but honestly they are only that little once! It's important to capture that time and when posed with a mother or father you can really see just how small they are. I love capturing the bond between a parent and child, it really is something special.
This little cutie just turned 6! Oh time goes by so fast once your a mom! This little guy was all about the sand dunes. He wanted to run, roll, and jump down the hills. He made for quite the moving target! Despite his adventurous spirit and some serious desert wind we had a fun and successful shoot, and you can tell he is all boy!
I was delighted to be able to photograph this delightful little family. They were so fun to work with and the kids were full of life. It's easy to tell how much they love each other, and they're definitely siblings that will stick by each other in the long run. Despite the kids getting a little rambunctious I think their family photos came out wonderful and is definitely something I know they will cherish for life.
This little girl was so wonderful! She slept great and let me play around the whole session! I was very excited when her parents wanted blues and purples for her photos. I got to play with set-ups I don't get to do very often, which is always so much fun!. She is such a little blessing and you can tell how much her parents cherish her.
I love prints! Seeing your photos in prints is amazing! The details are always so crisp and clear and having something you can actually hold makes such a difference! My prints are all mounted so they can't be bent or wrinkled in any way and I have them coated with a u.v. and fingerprint resistant spray to keep them safe. You can literally use a babywipe to clean off fingerprints of kid goo! Am I the only one who uses babywipes for everything? lol maybe it's just a mom thing. One more bonus of prints, is they are archival when printed through a proffessional lab. That means you great great grandkids can still have and hold these photos. In fact they can use the photos and create negatives with them and have them digitally restored if necessary. USB drives on the other hand.... typically fail within 5-7 years! That means bye bye photos! I love that my grandpa has prints of his parents and grandparents and has been able to work on his family tree using these prints. It's always a good idea to print a copy set of your photos and keep them in a cool dry place. When your kids grow up they will love being able to see themselves as babies.
I was so honored to be able to photograph this little girl. She is the daughter of another popular photographer in the area. Unfortunatly, this field can be highly competitive and not many people are willing to put that aside to be friends. She is the owner of Sunshine Photography and I'm very happy to also call her a friend! This job is hard, rewarding, but hard. It is so nice to be able to talk with someone who understands all the little things :)
Where the wild things are! Oh my gosh I love these boys! They are so sweet and cute together! The little one just about kills me with his cuteness, like really those eyes! His big brother is quite the charmer as well and is definitly fighting for the best big brother of the year award! Oh the cuteness!
Even Spiderman wants Easter Photos! Thanks Ivy Ward for your awesome face-painting talent!
Oh how boys love their mommas! And I am so glad they do! I was excited to get the oppurtunity to host a photography both at a local charity event to raise funds for cancer research. All the cute faces I got to meet was absolutly priceless!
Can we say, "Dark- haired beauty!" Holy cow, I love her hair! So long and thick and amazing! OK, maybe a little obsessed, but seriously it's dreamy! Anyways she came in full of life and ready to dress up! She was so sweet and listened so well! I could easily photograph her all day every day!
This gorgeous little girl came in to model some new headbands for Nicoroa Designs. She designs headbands and tutus for children with cancer. It's definitly a noteworthy cause and I am always happy to help in any way I can! She was a natural and had so much fun!
I am in love with this session! This was the perfect baby so happy to model for me! I got to play all I wanted and dress her up like a little lamb for Easter! Her brothers were just as cute; and all three together, oh my gosh! Cuteness overload! This little girl is going to have a couple of sweet big brothers looking after her, she's a lucky girl!
It's hard being cute! Happy First Birthday baby girl! She didn't want to just eat it; she wanted to stick her toes in and really savor it! I mean after all it adds flavor right? Cake smashes are so much fun and a great way to commemorate your little one's first birthday!
This gorgeous little 3 year old was modeling my hand made tutu dress in the studio today!. She had so much fun pretending to be a fairy looking for magic horses flying through the sky! Hey you gotta tell her whatever you got to tell her to get her to look in the right spot :) She loved the dress and did not want to take it off ooops! Such a fun shoot!
We have a princess in the house! I love these shots. We had such a fun time getting dressed up and twirling in our pretty tutu and handmade one of a kind crown! She even had her wand ready to zap you! What a gorgeous little princess!

Such a fun shoot. I got to play dress up on some beautiful little girls today! This one had quite the opinion on what she was wearing lol and had a hand in picking out all her clothes.
What a fun shoot! This mama wanted diva and we gave it to her! From princess, to angel, to zebra stripes, this girl made it all look good! She slept through most of the shoot and we were able to get some great shots! The mama proudly has them hanging on her walls and in the nursery and they match the decor to a T!
Is he not adorable? Oh my goodness what a sweetie! I love those squishy cheeks! He was amazing to work with and I could have easily spent another hour playing with him lol. I don't get as many boys in the studio so when I do, it's always so fun! That lovely bench was painted by a local artist, Erin Marsh, who does most of my custom prop work here in town. And this adorable little boys parents own the Art Gallery off of Taylor street and offer lots of unique framing and art needs!
